The castle of Charles Perrault

In the Yveline department, on Vallle de Chevreuse, one hour from Paris, lays one of the most magical castles in France- Chateau de Breteuil, known as Charles Perrault Castle.
The gardens are great for kids exploring, containing a maze, a pond, a playground underneeth secular trees and many small buildings( pavilions) where you can watch and hear scenes from Charles Perrault stories: Red Riding Hood, Puss in Boots, Cinderella. There is even the room of the Sleeping Beauty.
In the main building you can visit the ancient kitchens with wax characters.
In the pigeons's house you can admire scenes from everyday life in medieval times, with small wax characters, that actually represents the 3D representation of well known peintures.
Next time we will visit the castle, where at certain hours there are live shows inspired by C. Perrault stories.
A beautiful place that definitely worth a visit!
At return we stopped in a small village -Dampierre , where the catstle with the same name is located.
We had lunch at Le  Petit Chalet, a charming American-decorated restaurant, where you can enjoy typical French dishes and listen to rock music.

Tenerife

Trying to escape from the cold and rainy Paris in November, we were searching a place reacheable by plane and not very far, as we had only one week for this escapade. And like previous years, we have special occasions to celebrate- the anniversaries of our son and my husband! Canaries aren’t completely new for us, as we have visited Fuerteventura in 2015, but we could not even dream of such an extraordinary climate and landscapes as in Tenerife. Practically, the temperatures vary so little during the year, allowing to enjoy a 22degreee in water and 24-25 degree on air, at the beginning of November😀 We actually used sun screen protection! Tenerife is the biggest of  the seven Canary islands, which are Spanish territories on the west coast of Africa, only 100 km away from Morocco, in the Atlantic ocean.They are the southest European teritory. Lichtenstein

We were thinking of a summer holiday with warm temperature but not too hot, and definitely water, a sort of replacement for the sea...so we came with the idea of a round trip to Italian lakes, Como and Maggiore. We decided to have a stop in Vaduz, to see one of the smallest countries in the world-Lichtenstein, a kingdom ruled by the Prince Hans Adam II, settled between Austria and Switzerland and sharing German language with its much bigger neighbours.
